כֶּרֶם kerem — vineyard Isaiah 5:1
עֲנָבִים / בְּאֻשִׁים ʿănābîm / bĕʾušîm — grapes / bad or wild grapes Isaiah 5:2
מִשְׁפָּט mišpāṭ — justice Isaiah 5:7
מִשְׂפָּח miśpāḥ — bloodshed Isaiah 5:7
צְדָקָה ṣĕdāqâ — righteousness Isaiah 5:7
צְעָקָה ṣĕʿāqâ — cry / outcry Isaiah 5:7
הוֹי hôy — woe, alas Isaiah 5:8
טוֹב / רַע ṭôb / raʿ — good / evil Isaiah 5:20
אוֹר / חֹשֶׁךְ ʾôr / ḥōšek — light / darkness Isaiah 5:20
מַר / מָתוֹק mar / mātôq — bitter / sweet Isaiah 5:20

Isaiah makes judgment audible

מִשְׁפָּט → מִשְׂפָּח
mišpāṭ → miśpāḥ: justice → bloodshed.

צְדָקָה → צְעָקָה
ṣĕdāqâ → ṣĕʿāqâ: righteousness → outcry.

Then verse 20 stacks three inversions: good/evil, light/darkness, bitter/sweet.

  3. Track the sign-names: Shear-jashub, Immanuel, and Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
  4. In 8:14, compare sanctuary with stone of stumbling.
